The Leitemperghers are the owners of the business, etymologically from Leutemberger, that is "people of the mountain". This family has very ancient origins, in fact they come from Westfalia among the Beseno castle's lord's suite. We remember above all Ettore Leitempergher, the founder of the business in 1924 with his wife, Miss Luigia Pizzini. By the death of the parents the business goes to the sons: Ugo and Carlo.

Ugo was sent to the front during the second world war and after a period as prisoner in Berlino he comes back home to continue his job together with his brother. In 1959 the management of their business goes to Ugo who holds the position of president of the Alpino's local section too.
In 1960 his first wife, Miss Emilia, dies and in 1961 he got married for the second time with Miss Anna Pedrotti.

In 1982 Ettore, the son, succeeded, already expert and specialized in the preparation of the local and genuine dishes. He attended his first cookery course in 1966 at the hotel's school of Nago, in 1967 he is at the Excelsior Hotel of Merano and in 1969 in Firenze at the Minerva Hotel. These experiences refine his ability both in the national preparations and in the local ones, today really in demand and appreciated by the italian and foreign gourmets.

Mr. Ugo is also the promoter, since 1971, of the military cemetery's restoration. For this meritorious initiative he has received the gold medal and he has become the freeman of salisburgo.As a matter of fact many are the dead of this Austrian region during the fights of the first world war. The scapegraces of salisburgo have decided to honour someone who did a lot, so as not to erase the memory of the soldiers who died during the fight. Finally Mr. Ugo, together with the teacher Tullio Liber, is also the author of the historical and photographic documentation about the 1914-18 war, which was fought on the Plateaux. At the moment the whole Leitempergher family apply itself to the management of its hotel, trying to improve more and more the quality of the service to be able to satisfy its clientela's whishes.
